yes, I think so too.
I have find another way let it work, sleep few milliseconds after write
data, it also work. but I have no idea to explain it :-(

I have tried this before, and found it will block on read followed by
write.
Try to decrease the buffer of read, say half size of the write buffer,
and it should work.
By the way, I doubt this is the problem of oss driver itself.

If I open oss card with O_RDWR, and read and write, then osscard can
not be closed!!! my dvevm version is 1.1.
