Did you ever get this figured out? Also I was wondering if you might be
interested in testing a command-line app that can flash your board (NOR
or NAND) over UART without you having to do anything manually? I need
additional people to try this out.

I tried with u-boot-567-nand.bin, u-boot-596-nand.bin, my modified
u-boot... nothing.
The headers seem to be ok ..
Someone who has written the binaries and the headers using a JTAG
could show us his nand memory dump from 0x4000 to 0x20000 ?
