hi, I have the same problem too. I use git to pull the repository, that is git://source.mvista.com/git/linux- davinci-2.6.git. Then I use davinci_evm_dm644x_defconfig as the default configuration to build uImage, I got the following messages when booting Uncompressing Linux............................................ ..................................... done, booting the kernel. (halted here) Regards, ycchang

Subject: Kernel from a latest git sources is not started
Hello,

I try to start new kernel from a latest git sources on EVM with
latest uboot. But it hangup after decompressing

Uncompressing Linux.............................................................
..................................... done, booting the kernel.

I have apply machine-number-hack.bin but it don't work. When i trace
kernel then i see that it is looped in panic function with message
"Attempted to kill init!".
How i can resolve this problem?

Second question...Montavista USB driver have too many BUGS and it don't
work with many devices. Can i compile EVM USB driver from GIT on
Montavista linux?
