Hello all, I’m starting the ardous process of adding
support for a PHY driver chip that’ll be on a custom TMS board; I work
with the DVEVM currently; The driver chip is the DM9161 PHY transceiver – I did
some research on the initial steps I’d have to take.. The dm9161 we’r using uses the RMII interface (reduced
MII) I know uboot currently supports the dm9161, but I’m
unsure as to whether it autodetects, or if I have to specify it in the dm644x_emac.c
in the board/davinci folder? (this is the uboot 1.1.3 source code) Also I’ll have to hint to linux to support it too but that’s
a second phase – I’m more concerned right now with getting tftpboot
to work properly Thanks! |
