Hi

Ah - well, I have heard the same thing about the ATA and the EMIF.

We are currently using CS2, CS3 and the ATA (for hard disk support)
simultanteously

We have an FPGA mapped onto the BUS. We just lock the kernel, swap some
bits, read/write to the fpga, and then restore. As long as interrupts are
disabled, the little bit it takes to write to the FPGA isn't hurting us.

The HDD + Compact Flash should be able to work the same way. Looks like the
drivers need changing though.

I'll keep folks posted on our changes.

Thanks

I have been told (and it bears out by looking at the docs) that they are
mutually exclusive. You can have one or the other but not both.

If there is a way to have both, then I'm curious to hear it.

Cheers,

Lloyd
