Hi Kevin - I've never create a patch file before, but did a Google and think I've got the right thing.
I used "diff -up /path/to/unmodified/source/file.c /path/to/modified/source/file.c > patchfile.patch" to generate the patch - I hope that's correct. NOTE: This patch is for the kernel that comes with DVSDK 1.10 (linux-2.6.10_mvl401). I don't have a checkout of the current git tree handy, so can't create that patchfile at the moment. I've attached the patch to this message. Please let me know if there's a problem with it. - Paulb -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Hilman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, December 06, 2006 8:41 PM To: Paul Bartholomew Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: BUGFIX for DaVinci ethernet driver (half-duplex/collisiondetection) On Wed, 2006-12-06 at 12:04 +0000, Paul Bartholomew wrote: > Hello - > > As pointed out in another thread ("Problems after updating to DVEVM > 1.10" started by Andy ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), there seems to be > problems connecting a DVEVM to an ethernet "hub". > Can you send your fix as a patch? I will see that it gets integrated into the stable kernel and the open-source git tree. Kevin
