Hello,

I am evaluating various tools (GreenHills, MontaVista or Free) for
source level kernel debugging using various channels (Serial, Ethernet
or JTAG).

I'd be grateful if you could share your experience with me to answer the
following questions

1) Are you doing source level kernel debugging (thread aware, OS
aware and capable of putting breakpoints etc.)?

2) What tool are you using for source level kernel debugging? Does
it require windows or Linux host?

3) What channel are you using to connect target board and host PC?
If you are debugging over serial channel, how is the performance?

4) What additional changes (some kind of patch etc.) did you do in
kernel source code to enable this debugging?

Please share any information you have on this topic (even if it doesn't
answer any of my questions).

Thanks and regards,
