Hello,
Here's some more detail on how I implemented the resizer for real-time
video input.

1. Setup VPFE for video capture.
2. Using SPRUE38A setup the resizer module with regard to
input and output sizes, buffers, filter coefficients etc. I call this
setup
from user mode program.
3. Modify VPFE linux driver (davinci_vpfe.c) adding ISR for resizer
interrupt, IOCTLs for control etc. and rebuild kernel.

Notes:
The resizer only works in "single shot" mode and must be enabled for
each field/frame.
Inconsistent filter coefficients usually results in incorrect colours,
banding etc.
The filter coefficients change from 4-tap 8-phase to 7-tap 4-phase at
50% scaling.

Hope this helps.
Cheers
Rudy.

        Hi
Has the resizer driver been released? Earlier posts mentioned
that it would be released 4Q2006. If not, can someone give pointers on
how to proceed? Some sample code will be helpful.

        Regards,
