If you find U-Boot works fine using CCS and does not work when programmed into NOR flash, try changing the optimization flag from -Os to -O2. When I compiled version u-boot-1.1.3_rel_00.05.04 using -Os, it would run under the emulator but fail when programmed into flash. Changing the optimization flag resolved the issue.
