To enable VID0, open drivers/video/davincifb.c. Look for function set_win_enable. You can see that VID0 is always disabled, simply change it back. This will let you see the video in VID0. However, the silicon bug is still there. You can clearly see the unsmoothness when playing video. There is a complex walk around to solve this problem which is described in the latest Davinci errata sheet. I haven't tried to implemented it yet. I think TI's next chip revision will fix this problem.
