Hi all, I've got a DVEVM hooked up with a ths8200 plugged into a standard Dell flat panel VGA port, I'm pumping out a standard 720p mode to the monitor which it should easily be able to handle and I'm seeing a shifted to the right image which normally comes from setting the sync timings wrongly..
So I'm trying to figure out what the timings are for the ths8200, I've set the davinci according to the follow modeline #ModeLine "ATSC-720-59.94p" 74.176 1280 1320 1376 1650 720 722 728 750 which gives a HSPLS of 56, (1376-1320), HSTART of 274 (1650-1376), HINT of 1649 and a HVALID of 1280. On the ths8200 side I've programmed DTG1_TOTAL_PIXELS = 1650 DTG1_LINECNT = 1 FRAME SIZE = 750 FIELD SIZE = 2047 which I think are all correct, the fun comes with the HS_ delay and durations.. HS_OUT duration = 16 HS_OUT delay = 5 VS_OUT duration = 3 VS_OUT delay = 1 are my current ones which don't work very well and are just guesswork... however setting HS_OUT duration to 56 and HS_OUT delay to 1320 gives me a way off signal.. Has anyone on this list got a system where they have this working? and could tell me what they program into the THS8200? (note this is quite different to using the component outputs as the sync signals aren't being multiplexed onto the Y/G signal...)
