Hi Alex,

I understand that you are suggesting a web-based
forum that allow to create categories (and sub-cat.)
instead of a "flat" mailing list.

Personnaly I prefer the flat mode of a mailing list
vs. a (web-based) forum.
There are already archive of the mailing list so if
people want to take the effort of seraching this is
possible, and I am not sure that (web-based) forum
would help.

But obviously a FAQ is missing.

My best idea would be that we get a Wiki for that
purpose. I think it would be the best solution.

But issue is who is ready to host it ?
TI ? MV ?
Someone else ?

It is easy to find free or cheap hosting but without any secutity,
backup, etc ....

Any suggestion ?

Regards,

Jean-Michel.

Subject: DaVinci 2.6.20 Development Forum

Hi Kevin,

People keep asking the same questions all the time.
For example:
Where davinci-vpfe driver dissappeared from 2.6.20?
Why USB doesn't work with 2.6.20?
Why 2.6.20 doesn't boot on DVEVM?
 Etc.

Wouldn't it be more effective to establish a DaVinci Forum?
I think that we should put there a FAQ or a collection of Problems and Solutions.

I'd suggest also to create a DaVinci 2.6.20 Development branch Where you can integrate the solutions to all the solved problems
Before you merge them into the main tree.

Regards,
Alex
