Hi,
We are trying to interface the HDD to the DVEVM but it is
able to mount the HDD.
We have bought a new Seagate 40 GB HDD and we are trying to interface it
to the our DVEVM. We have formatted the HDD and made ext2 file system in
the HDD using mkfs command and check the filesystem using fsck command
.Though the Led on the DVEVM for detecting the HDD glow up on
connecting the HDD. But still on connecting the HDD it is telling that
the HDD doesnot have the ext2 filesystem and giving following errors:
Loading modules:
Starting checking all file systems: fsck
fsck 1.35 (28-Feb-2004)
fsck.ext3: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/hda1
/dev/hda1:
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate
superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
failed (8: ). Please repair manually.
CONTROL-D will exit from this shell and continue system startup.
Press enter for maintenance
(or type Control-D for normal startup):
Starting mounting local filesystems: mount mount: mount point /hdd does
not exit failed (32: ).
Uniform Multi-Platform E-IDE driver Revision: 7.00alpha2

Can anyone please help me out in resolving this issue. Thanks in
advance.
Thanks n Regards
