On the DVEVM the volume gain control by the AIC33 codec chip. The parameters are in the file /sound/oss/davinci-aic33.h if you want to tune to the hardware of your board.
>From an application standpoint, volume control is done through the mixer calls though. For example to increase the playback gain, use the ioctl SOUND_MIXER_WRITE_OGAIN. Best regards, Loc
