hi, sam I have the same problem like yours. my device is bq2085 , a smart battery monitor, using smbus . I used the i2c_smbus_read_word_data (&client, command) function to read word data from bq2085. like yours, the write command process is ok , but it can't restart to transefer the (salveaddrss+R bit), no clock and data line keep high. have you fixed this bug? thanks.
