Hi all,

I am facing a strange problem.

I am porting Montavista linux 2.6.10 onto a custom board built around a davinci
DM6443 SoC.

When I download the kernel into DDR and try running the kernel, I either get
corrupted characters on the console (through which roughly I can make out that
kernel is indeed booting up and mounting RAMDISK) or just nothing.
I am using a linux host and running the minicom terminal. The baud rate on
minicom is set to 115200 8N1 and no hardware flow control.

On my board c64x+ is in self boot mode and the ARM is in NOR boot mode.
I am using TI CCS to connect to the target and stop the C64x+ and run only the
ARM. I am using data download thru CCS (converting vmlinux from .elf to .dat)
and running it.
This console problem started only after enabling the DSP on the board.
Before enabling the DSP the console was working fine.

I also now have tried a simple UART transmit and receive program, to check for
UART0 port, which works fine with the minicom. I am able to get all that I send
very clearly and without any corruption, at 115200 8N1 configuration.

Can any one suggest where the problem lies ?

Thanks and regards,
Sriram
