Dirk, This is indeed a low cost DaVinci processor.
The DM355 DVEVM (board + dvsdk + 'demonstration version' of montavista pro v4.0 + beta 2.6.10 lsp) cost is $495 so we'll have a lower cost option to help build the community. The flow will be as follows: beta 2.6.10 MV LSP -> production 2.6.10 MV LSP -> driver up-port to git. The driver up-port will go a lot quicker if we can get some help from the community. I see this up-port activity starting in a couple of months.
