Lloyd,

I recently built the 1.1.4 version of u-boot using the following steps.

1. To build for NAND you need to comment out the line:
        #define CFG_ENV_IS_IN_FLASH     1
    From the include/configs/davinci.h file.
2. host $ make davinci_config
3. host $ make

This created u-boot.bin and u-boot.srec files. I then used DVFlasher to
flash the u-boot.bin file to my NAND flash. I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Chase Maupin

Subject: Re: DaVinci Opensource Firmware Tools

I haven't had any luck building u-boot. My build craps out on me
(although one
of our contractors works).

Someone said that some versions of the compiler don't build it
correctly. Is
this true?

I'd like to test U-Boot myself to see how "slow" it really is...

Cheers,

Lloyd
