You need to open

/dev/tty/0

I think you also need to disable getty on the console in /etc/inittab.

Subject: How to open UART0 (ttyS0)

I want to use in my application ttyS0. I changed the bootargsto not use
ttyS0 and serial.

I try to open the ttyS0 in my application without success.

Have some idea why?

Thanks for the help

Marcel
