Yan Ming,
Codec Engine is a codec execution framework that automates the invocation and instantiation of eXpressDSP-compliant codecs and algorithms. TI Codec Engine is provided as part of the TMS320DM644x Digital Video Evaluation Module (DVEVM). Codec engine can execute in ARM-only, ARM-DSP, or DSP-only environment Codec Engine uses DSP/BIOS Link for providing the framework in an ARM-DSP environment. DSP/BIOS Link is freely downloadable from https://www-a.ti.com/downloads/sds_support/targetcontent/link/index.html . DSP/BIOS Link is not available for DM355 platform. As there is no DSP, DSP/BIOS Link will not be useful here. I believe there is a DVEVM for DM355 at http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdxevm355.html which you can evaluate for your development. Which one can be downloaded freely from TI's website, and which one must buy DVEM in order to get it? I am interested in development for DM355. Because no DSP in the DM355, do I still need DSPLink? Thanks & Regards, Yan Ming
