I am not quite sure this will answer your question, and I may be telling
you something which is just common knowledge in this community (my first
contribution as we only just decided to go for a Davinci device). I have
lots of experience with the 5509[a] DSP, written everything from the
ground up. To get from the .out file (a COFF) generated by a build in
CCS to a .bin executable to load into the DSP memory Ti provides a HEX
tool, e.g. for the 55xx series it's hex55.exe, for the 6000 series it's
hex6x.exe, etc., to be found in the cgtools directory of the CCS
install, regular updates on the Ti software update site.
