Thanks for the patch, will let you know how I get on once I get a uvc
camera to try.

Darren,
I built with kernel 2.6.10 using uvc driver release 148. I did have
to modify the driver a little bit. I have attached the change I made
to the driver as a patch. This worked for me so maybe it will help
you out.
Sincerely,

Hi Chase,
thanks for the quick reply. Which kernel did you build with? I'm
struggling to build with 2.6.10.
Cheers

Darren,
I have used a Logitech Pro QuickCam 9000 with the uvc driver for Linux.
I don't remember the exact frame rate I was getting but it was better
than 8fps.

Subject: USB webcams
Hi all,
anyone out there using USB webcams?
Which cameras have you found to work well?
What drivers have you used, and what sort for frame rates were
achieved?
I've been using the gspca but been very disappointed in the frame
rates
- about 8f/s
Cheers
Darren
