I'm using Qtopia 4.3.3 also. Actually it is working with framebuffer driver here, but I'm using the parallel rgb output not DAC outputs. When I first run my application with pal/ntsc output, I faced the same issue. Have you checked your fb size with fbset? Do you have 1.20 updates to 2.6.10 MV kernel? I guess they are the latest.
