Hi,
Ameresh,
I can do the RGB16 format conversion. But I do't know how I can write and add
the dsp code to the decode demo programme.
Can u tell me or can u give some reference where an example is given in DSP
platform..

Manas,

PIP can be achieved by rendering main video on /dev/fb/3 and another video
on /dev/fb/0. But to render another video on fb/0, you need to convert the
video to RGB16 format. on DM6446 there is not hardware unit for YUV to
RGB16 conversion. So you have to write the software converter which may run
on either ARM or DSP. If you are good on DSP, you may put the conversion
logic on DSP which is the best solution as of now as Conversion logic on
ARM will hit the performance significantly.

regards/Amaresh
