Manas,
I believe you are referring DVSDK 1.4.0 Beta release for DM6467. If so, then you need to flash u-boot 1.2 before running demo. This information is well documented in DM6467 Release note; see section "uboot and Linux kernel". My version is U-boot.1.1.3 . So when I was giving the kernel command as given in sprue66d and VPBE user's guide, it was not taking the arguments. So I tried to put the Upgrade the U-boot to 1.2.(given with th PSP) .I followed the commands given in the PSP provided with the new version. BUT (1).It is not properly putting the u-boot.bin into the norflash as well in the nand flash(following separate commands for nand and nor) (2). Then I tried to put the u-boot-nor.bin into nor flash using DVFLASHER. It put the image. But when I boot I could find nothing in the TTY. (3). Then I tried to put the u-boot-nand.bin into nand flash using DVFLASHER. This time it boots succesfully. And everything works properly(demos). (4) I tried to put the U-image -1.4 into the nand flash following the commnds given in the PSP as folows:-- tftp 0x80700000 uImage nand erase 0x200000 0x200000 nand write 0x80700000 0x200000 0x200000 But It is not actually putting the U-image into the nand flash. Can you tell us why the (1):upgrading as well as ; (4): putting the U-image into the flash is not working as followed by the PSP commnds.I am not finding any wrong in the commnds given with the PSP. This is the serious issues for v.1.4 users(taking from the web-site).But for v1.3 ,those problems I have not found....!! THANKS, MANAS KUMAR, CEDT,IISC,BANGALORE. I believe latest DVSDK is 1.3. If you are using latest DVSDK 1.3 for DM355/DM6446 then do make sure your kernel command line argument is correct as per VPBE document. -Brijesh ________________________________ From: Nori, Sekhar Sent: Friday, May 16, 2008 2:18 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - DaVinci HD Beta Program Support (May contain non-TIers) Cc: manas lenka; Rajashekhara, Sudhakar Subject: [dm6467_beta_sw_support] RE: Decode Demos of lattest v.1.4 not working........ Hi, Sorry for disturbing you. I downloaded the new v.1.4 from Ti website. I built the uImage. But when I run the decode demos , I found the following errors: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/opt/dvevm# ./decode -v /opt/dvevm/data/videos/davincieffect_ntsc.264 Decode demo started. File location=/opt/dvevm/data/videos/davincieffect_ntsc.264 varInfo.yres_virtual=960 Decode Error: Failed ioctl FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO on /dev/fb/0(invalid Command) Total I-frames: 0, P-frames: 2, B-frames: 0, IDR-frames: 1 rejected: 0 I went to the code ctrl.c. I then removed "varInfo.yres_virtual = NUM_OSD_BUFS * D1_HEIGHT;" After this, when I compiled the demos and run it , I didn't get the errors: Decode Error: Failed ioctl FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO on /dev/fb/0(invalid Command) But It still gave errors: Total I-frames: 0, P-frames: 2, B-frames: 0, IDR-frames: 1 rejected: 0 and exited. Can you tell me the what is the problem Thanks In Advance.. MANAS ________________________________ size=1 width="100%" align=center> What is your Emotional Quotient?
