Thanks David. Do you know what are the differences between MV 4.0 and MV 4.0.1? We're still using MV 4.0 (dvevm 1.10, bios 5.30, cmem 1.01, CE 1.02, dsplink 1.30.08.02, etc). I was able to build the latest GIT kernel using using our current MV 4.0 development tools. Can I rebuild cmemk and dsplinkk for the latest GIT kernel using MV 4.0? Last I tried at the beginning of the year, I remembered getting errors rebuilding dsplinkk and cmemk modules for the new kernel. Now, like you, we need to go to the latest 2.6.26 kernel for improved performance (CONFIG_PREEMPT) and high resolution-timer support (we're currently using 2.6.20). I don't want to have to move to MV 4.0.1 (dvevm 1.30, etc) fearing that we have to rewrite our application code and retesting everytime. I just want to update the kernel using our current MV 4.0 tools. We just renewed our software license with TI but I don't want to move to the latest development tools unless I have too. The reason I mentioned about using glibc 2.5 because the RT wiki site says that the requirement for CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT to work. Hopefully, either you, Kevin, or others have some advice for me. Thanks. Regards, Andy
