Hi,

I just went to the Montavista support site and noticed that it has the
following patch, which I want to use to apply to the GIT 2.6.25-davinci1 kernel:

(pro-1687)
ti_davinci_mv_1_0_audio_mcbsp_init_fix_and_null_buf_implementation_034:
     This patch implements the null buffer playback when McBSP has no data to
process. This patch also fixes the McBSP initialization sequence.

I thought this patch was against Montavista linux-2.6.10_mvl401 kernel;
however, when I looked at the patch, the code (mcbsp.c changes) doesn't match
the code in linux-2.6.10_mvl401. The code in the patch seems to refer to
separate mcbsp start tx and mcbsp start rx functions (and stop tx and stop rx),
whereas in the linux-2.6.10_mvl401 and GIT kernel, there's just one mcbsp start
function. The patch is dated Jan 2008 so I wonder if I can use this patch, it
may resolve the audio write stall problem. Has anyone applied this patch? Or
is this patch for something else?

Regards,
Andy
