see if

That helps.

Subject: dsplink 1.50 build under latest GIT

Greetings,

I know there's numerous messages about building DSPLINK with latest GIT,

but...

using the 2.6.18+ configuration builds fine; however, module will not

insert.

Looking at the .modinfo section, I notice that the only thing different

between the cmem which builds and inserts fine under 2.6.26-rc5 is that the

module version magic symbol is named vermagic7 while all the rest of the

modules built with the kernel build system (cmem included) have vermagic5.

What's the easier solution here:

A) Figure out why the module version symbols are wacked

B) Convert the module portion of the dsplink build to use the kernel build

system

C) Add patches to git to export the proper symbols and use the 2.6.10 build

config

Anybody else see this problem?

Thanks,

David
