Hi, I would boot from FLASH - works fine for me. Follow the instructions in Appendix A.3 of the 'Getting Started Guide' and you should be able to get the board to boot from FLASH. You may have to restore the filesystem FLASH partition if it has ever been used from the board being new - see Appendix A.5 for the procedure. If it won't work then post the output of 'printenv' in u-boot and the ouptut from the console during the boot up to the maillist so we can see what is happening.
