They have not been ignored, just postponed. And not everyone (including myself) agrees with you that they are useless. As you know, there is lots of ongoing work to add support for more boards and processors in the DaVinci family to this kernel. This is probably a bug in the driver, or in the IDE stack where a zero value is not being handled properly.
