Hi All,

I am working on DM355 and am facing some issues because of scheduling behavior
of threads.
Basically since the scheduling mechanism of LINUX is based on time slices a
lower priority thread is able to preempt a higher priority thread.
Is it possible to make the scheduling policy of LINUX real time to prevent
preemption of a thread with higher priority?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Divya

Hi all,

I use the DM6446.

When I compile the readwrite sample on the side of DSP
(DSPLINK/dsp/src/sample/readwrite), there is an error :
/bin/sh: /opt/ti-tools/c6000/cgtools/bin/c16x: no such file or directory

Where can I find the file c16x ?

Regards

Hi,

1.30.00.23 is the Beta DVSDK which includes the Beta LSP component –
1.20.00.004_1.

The production DVSDK release is 1.30.00.40 which includes the production LSP
component – 1.20.00.014.

There is a latest LSP update 1.20.01.004 (patch level 14 release) that includes
the patches for custom MMC/SD stack that supports SDIO and SDHC, along with
performance improvements. These are the same patches Jon has mentioned, but are
modified (very minor modifications) to get applied against the production
release.

https://www-a.ti.com/downloads/sds_support/targetcontent/psp/mv_lsp_1_20/index.html

Note that the MMC/SD driver in the baseline code does not support SDHC cards.

Thanks
Sneha

1, Ours is also Kingston class 6, this one:
http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=4QB3

2. The LSP is 1_30_00_23, but we are also running SDIO driver patches from TI.

We had a 4GB SDHC card working on the EVM but are now using our own board, got
the 8GB card later so only used with our new board. I doubt it's a pcb issue
though.

Hi Jon,

First of all, thanks for your reply.

I want to ask you a few questions:
1. The SDHC 8G memory card is class6? From which brand? (My memory is Kingston
class6)
2. The LSP that came with the EVM is version 1_30_00_23 or
01_20_00_014<https://www-a.ti.com/extranet/cm/product/dvevmsw/dspswext/download/mvl_4_0_1_demo_lsp_setuplinux_01_20_00_014.bin>
(this last updates in June 2008)?

Thabks in advance,

A.Silva

Ok, but are SDHC card supported and recognized? I have a dm355 board and i just
tested and it can recognize SD cards at 2G and 4G, but I am inserting and 8G
SDHC card, and the behaviour is very strange. When the card is pluged linux
doesn't run and the card reboot automatically.

Does anybody have had this problems?

Thanks in advance,

A.Silva

SDHC starts at 4 and tops at 32GB officially, but could theoretically be larger.
