Hi,

I think the 'virtuallogix' solution is doing what you want, basically making
the DSP look enough like a 'general purpose' processor to get Linux to run. It
is sort of like VMWare for DSP. It is almost ceratinly not possible to get
Linux to run 'native' on the DSP, if it were it would have been done by now and
we would be aware of it....but somebody might know different I suppose.

Anyway, I have filed the information just in case I ever need to make use of it
& thanks to Chris for posting a link to something I thought impossible ;-)

Regards

Thanks Ring,

But the link is discussing about the virtual core which implements both linux
and DSP/Bios.
I am looking for a solution by which I can put the linux kernel on the core
itself.

do you know about any group working on it.

thanks in advance

                Hi,

There is no Linux BSP for the DM6437 as it has no ARM core
(unlike the DM355/6446/6467) - it is a DSP (TMS320C64x) only device.

AFAIK Linux does not run on DPSs.

                Regards

TMS320DM6437 EVM.
do you have any idea of available BSP on this board or can help
me to run linux on this media controller.

                Thanks in advance
