FWIW, there's an overview of "the 4 roles" here as well: http://wiki.davincidsp.com/index.php?title=Codec_Engine_Roles
The original question focused on the "Server Integrator" role. Critical input(s) for that role are the codec packages, which I don't think the DVSDK product redistributes(?). But I found this FAQ for getting eval codecs: http://www.ti.com/corp/docs/landing/davinci/faqs.html#11 Chris ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of BlackSword Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2008 8:18 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re:How do you build a merged version of the encode /decode Hi frivas, What you are missing is some .l64p,maybe! For codecs, most are released with .l64p format. Last year when I teach at a small course, I introduced codec server building in shanghai. We demoed with H264Enc and Dec in 1 .x64p. Frankly the document tell how to act as the four roles to develop davinci applications is in the folder DVSDK. Is this what you want. -- David Chan Manager, Business Development Embedio.
