Ok, I was able to get around some of my problems by modifying the bootargs for vid0 and vid1. That fixed the complete tearing of the osd0 image when scrolling through the console (although how it did that I'm not exactly sure).

The 2nd part of the problem that I'm seeing happens during both Composite AND LCD output modes. If I turn on Graphics Support->Console display driver support -> Frame Buffer Console (to have a boot logo) I see flickering in the image when I boot the system. I feel like I've looked into everything that makes any sense. I can't image that I'm the only one seeing this type of behavior? What kind of boot arguments are people using on the dm355 for video if you're NOT seeing this? Much appreciated.

I'm running into a very strange problems with serial output on the
console affecting my LCD output. The problem can be replicated by
pushing an image to osd0 (cat myimage > /dev/fb/0) and then just holding
down the enter key to scroll the console. The display flickers and the
image shifts as if the timing signals were being shifted somehow. Has
anybody seen this sort of issue before? The problem doesn't show up
when displaying video on /dev/fb/1 which is even stranger.

Thanks for any ideas,

BJ
