Haven't actually tried to do that, but someone else (from TI?)
reported that same issue.  My root is on an SD flash card.

What I *have* done is use the dm9000 for SSH, SCP, and apt-get;
hundreds of MBytes traffic.  So whatever the issue is, it appears
to be somewhat specific to NFS.
