Hi folks,

I need to build a YAFFS2 image for DM355 (EVM NAND flash sizing).
Looking around I see a mkyaffs2image binary that came with the EVM,
which I will try, but I could do with the ability to make one on my
build machine rather than on the DM355 itself.

>From a little googling around I see that Sergey Kubushin has slated and
roughly patched mkyaffs2image.c, but his patches haven't made it into
the aleph1 cvs repo, so I would expect to have to do a lot of hacking on
that to get it understanding the DM355's ECC algo and OOB layout.

I see the wiki doesn't have any real info about this. I will be looking
into it, but if anyone has done this before and has any pointers they
would be much appreciated.
