Although it has OMAP in the name, the OMAP-L1xx family is much closer to Davinci than OMAP. Here's why I think it's more like Davinci: * Has PSC like Davinci, not PRCM like OMAP * EDMA3 is the main DMA engine, no SDMA * No MMU on DSP * Uses Switched Central Resource (SCR) rather than L3/L4 interconnects * ARM926 core like Davinci * EMAC * The DSP is actually called "DSP" rather than being part of "IVA" It was a marketing decision to name the part OMAP-L1xx. That was mainly to convey that it's a low power device, which is something that OMAP is known for. Davinci is associated with video and the OMAP-L1xx is not targeted for video.
