I assume you are using TI's LSP1.x/MVL Pro4 (2.6.10). Both line-in and mic was known to be working for dm644x EVM for that release. Without additional details, it is impossible to tell what the problem is. Also, there is a more recent TI LSP2.x /MVL Pro5 (2.6.18) release for the DM6446. You may want to consider moving to the newer kernel.
