sorry for last email. I check the K9F1208U0C datasheet, the peremeters are followed:
(1) 1 block = 32 pages (2) 1 pages = (512 +16 )bytes (3) 1 chip = 4096 blocks (4) it recommands ECC option is 1-bit. I have the source code of nand_programmer, RBL and uboot-1.2.0. When I change nothing to the nand_programmer, RBL and uboot-1.2.0, and after I burnt the RBL and uboot using ccs 3.3, the result is: 1. the device id is right: 0x76 2. block 1 is bad block 2 is bad .................. block n is bad 3. RXDATA[440] = 0x40 is not consistant with TXDATA[440] = 0x5d; RXDATA[440] = 0x40 is not consistant with TXDATA[440] = 0x5d; RXDATA[440] = 0x40 is not consistant with TXDATA[440] = 0x5d; 4. nand program failed.......... now, what I have done is : 1. Change the nand.c of nand_programmer project to support 512 bytes. 2. shield the 4bitECC function. and the result is no better. Can you help me? Thank you very much. RE: nand flash change problem Jammy, What is the page size (512 bytes? Or 2048 bytes? Or 4096 bytes?) and recommended ECC option (1-bit, 4-bit) for this NAND chip? The default NAND configuration (in the driver) for DM355 EVM on all software components (NAND programmer, UBL, U-Boot and Kernel) is to use large pages (up to 2048bytes) and 4-bit HW ECC. You know that I should change my uboot for the evm working correctly, but what should I change? Do I need to change the nand_programmmer? or do I need to change the UBL? or I need change the uboot only. anyone can give me some advice? I am respecting..... Thank you. 2009-03-12 Jammy Dane
