Hello,

We developped a custom board with a DM6467 and wonder which kernel should we use on it. Apparently, there are at least 3 solutions : - Kernel from khilman git repo : http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/khilman/linux-davinci.git;a=summary - Kernel from arago-project git repo : http://arago-project.org/git/projects/?p=linux-davinci.git;a=summary - Montavista kernel pro 5.0 from : http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/dvsdk/DVSDK_2_00/latest/index_FDS.html

First question, can we use Montavista kernel pro 5.0 (without all the montavista filesystem and compiler)? I think so since the kernel is GPL.

Our custom board need Ethernet, Audio, VPIF capture, I2C, UART, USB host, NAND and SPI but does not need VPIF display and PCI. Accordingly to the wiki page concerning khilman git repo : http://wiki.davincidsp.com/index.php/DaVinci_GIT_Linux_Kernel the video capture on DM6467 is not functionnal. But I do not know if it is currently ok for SD but not for HD or if it is not functionnal at all.
Moreover, is it the same for the kernel from arago-project git repo?

So, which kernel should we use?

Best regards,

Guillaume GARDET
