Hi,
We've have a design where a DM355 needs to initialize very quickly some IOs while powered ON. We have critical peripherals controled in UBL to get a very early set-up.
Unfortunately, it seems the DM355 spends 310ms -before- calling UBL after reset is removed ! (Measured on GPIO061 controlled by RBL : raising just before jump to UBL address. Our UBL is in NAND with the right "00" Bootsel bits).
At the beginning of UBL only 290us is required to load prescalers and basic hardware registers. The full UBL execution, with PLL and ECC config, takes only ~80ms to load uboot in DDR2 and jump to it. Which is rather short.
So we expected RBL to be in the 500us range, not 310ms .... I don't understand a such delay. Any explanation / idea ? Best regards.
