Hi,

I am facing some issues while capturing 1080i (video std) using git
kernel version 3.10.00.12. I am using the HD Davinci EVM from TI.

TVP 7002 is used to capture 1080i video on the EVM. TVP 5147 is also
present on the EVM to capture SD video. As DM6467 can support only one
encode at any instant, only one of these devices can be enabled to
capture video. Both these devices also have the same I2C address 0x5D. A
switching logic is present on the EVM to interface one of these two
video encoders to the processor. The switching logic is controlled by
CPLD present on the EVM. DM6467 processor configures the CPLD through
i2c accesses.

Earlier PSP from TI with PSP version PSP_01_30_00_082 and DVSDK version
DVSDK-1_40_02_33 supports the i2c control logic. Thus we were able to
capture the video data from either of these interfaces, configuring each
of them at run time. I found that this feature is not supported in the
GIT kernel version: 3.10.00.12.

I like to know if TI made any latest release fixing this issue.

Regards,

Kiran Kumar A
