Hello All, As of 2.6.34 following video drivers are available in upstream kernel:-
vpfe capture on DM6446/DM355/DM365 using tvp514x decoder vpif capture on DM6467 using tvp514x decoder vpif display driver using adv7343 on DM6467. decoders/encoders:- tvp514x & adv7343 We have already ported most of the video drivers from our internal release to latest kernel and are available on Arago tree at http://arago-project.org/git/people/sneha/linux-davinci-staging.git We would like to explore if we can get volunteers from the community to participate in this effort in porting remaining video drivers to upstream. We are currently working to add vpbe display driver on DM6446/DM355/DM365. I have listed below a set of work items that are available for grab. The work involves modifying existing drivers(in some cases re-writing part of the driver) at Arago tree and submitting the same to upstream. Please reply to this list if you are willing to volunteer so that we can coordinate the same with you. 1) Support HD capture on DM6467 using tvp7002(using HD timing API). tvp7002 driver is currently available in upstream and requires integration. 2) Support HD capture on DM365 using tvp7002(using HD timing API). tvp7002 driver is currently available in upstream and requires integration. 3) Support camera capture using mt9t031 sensor. mt9t031 is currently available upstream and requires integration. 4) Develop and integrate mt9p031 sensor driver and integrate it with vpfe_capture. 5) one shot mode Preview and Resize drivers on DM355/DM365 using memory to memory API (RFC recently submitted by Samsung) 6) vpfe capture enhancements using Previewer and Resizer in continuous mode. 7) vpif display enhancements for HD video. 8) Adding AEW/AF/Histogram support in vpfe capture driver.
