Hi Birgit, if you are using zxJDBC on Jython to connect to the database, you should be able to use the same (or a similar) connection string.
On CPython, you will either have to use a custom DB API compatible interface module for Hive2 or go with an ODBC module and access Hive2 using an ODBC driver for your platform. As long as the ODBC driver supports these tokens a well, you should be fine.
