I have seen this error a couple of times. The latest
time was when I foolishly set up the db2admin user
with a password of spaces. I have also run into the
problem with a computer name longer than 8
characters. I think the computer name problem was
a fluke because I have been able to install DB2 V6.1
on an NT workstation with a really long name with no
trouble since then.
