I thought that db2look utility would help out. It's my understanding that
the schemas would have to match.

Subject: DB2EUG: How to refresh QA db using production db
Hi all,
Our application is running on udb v7 on NT platform.
I need to refresh the QA database (including schema and data) from the
production database.
I took an offline copy from the production database but I encountered
problem to copy them into QA.
The schema for both databases is different. Do I really need to drop the QA
database first or
the restore will do the job to create the new schema ?
I can drop the QA database and use 'restore to new ' using the production
backup from the control centre.
But I couldn't drop the QA database as it is currently in use. I can't
issue the db2stop because they are in the
same instance.
Is there a way I can refresh the database without dropping it.
I tried to use replace existing but was not successful.
Thank In Advance,
Shirley.
