Hi We are using Cognos tool and here is what happening and if you have any suggestions please let me know When the user submits a query and then after some time if the user hits Esc key to cancel the query, Neither the user is getting control on the Cognos session immediately nor the process is getting stopped on the database side. To confirm this I have checked the rows fetched by the thread after cancellation and the number of rows fetched keeps growing up for several minutes may till the thread finished the process. Finally the Cognos session gets released after so many minutes. It is so appearing like whether the query is left to run or cancelled it is taking the same time to get back to the Cognos session. I don�t see the same kind of behavior from Command Center so I am feeling like the Cognos is not sending the cancellation signal to UDB to stop process by the thread, is my assumption I right. My question are, if some body has experienced these kind of problems and have solution implemented please share it if possible or if some body know how to setup the cancellation key if it is there in Cognos then please let me know.
