I don't know of any document for UDB on UNIX, like there is for OS/390.  I
usually use dynexpln to get the plan.  When looking at the plan I review the
section where it has "Sargable Index Predicate(s)".  I am interpreting this to
mean the predicates are similar to Stage 1 on MVS.
