Title: RE: DB2EUG: Knock off idle users and sessions

Let me second what Leo said. Additionally, The DB2 UDB Admin Guide Performance, spells out definitions and tuning recommendations for DB2 CFG and DBM CFG parameters. ALso, use the Performance wizard for starters. Take a look at the Redbook, DB2 UDB V7.1 Performance Tuning Guide.  HTH Phil

Take a look at using the DB2 Governor.  You'll find a little doc in the
in Command Ref, but the details are in the Admin guide.  I've used the
governor to in the past to exactly this sort of thing.  As far as tuning
is concerned, I'd start by using the db2batch tool to examine your SQL
and the snapshot monitor to watch over your bufferpool hit ratios and
sorts.

Subject: DB2EUG: Knock off idle users and sessions

Hi All,
I need to knock off idle users or sessions, say if the session
is idle for 10 minutes or so, from the database. How do i do that??I
have DB2 UDB V6.1 EE for Windows Nt. Also, does anyone have a good
document on implementing tuning (both application and database
parameters).?? If so, can you share that with me.
Thanks and Regards
Sireesh.
