Turgut,
Consult your "Quick Beginnings" manual. There is a section on migrating
from previous versions of DB2. Mine says that if you are upgrading from
Version 6, there is nothing you have to do prior to installing Version 7.
I assume that this is still true for 7.2, but you should verify that.

Well, greetings everyone. After being thoroughly satisfied with UDB 6.1
for a few years, we received our 7.2 package. Now the question is: how to
upgrade safely :) I know I suppose to backup everythng and restore it
after the migration. But is there a guide to how to do the migration
itself?
